Sophie Jamieson- Waterloo/Gold

It’s been a while since we’ve heard some new music from Sophie Jamieson, but ‘Waterloo’ has been worth the wait. The track is her finest yet. A beautiful melancholy song reminiscing the rush of London life. Her voice is resonant and the silvery guitar echoes adds a dimension to the track which her previous recordings have missed out on. B-side ‘Gold’ is equally as stunning, but more sparse and thought-provoking. You can download both tracks for free from her Bandcamp page.

Her debut EP ‘Where’ will be released on June 26th on Folkroom records. On the same day she will play an EP Launch show at The Slaughtered Lamb. If I wasn’t at Glastonbury I would SO be there. You can get tickets here.
