Sometimes it surprises me how I just miss finding out about certain bands. Especially bands which I would really like and sound like everything I already like. Bands like Lay Low, who released their first album in 2006. But I only found out about them today, after seeing that they will be supporting Daughter on one of her American shows.
Lay Low is the work of Icelandic singer songwriter Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir. She writes sweet Americana country inspired folk songs, complete with the prettiest, cutest voice. File next to Sea of Bees, Anais Mitchell and Caitlin Rose. Lay Low’s newest album was released at the end of last year, you can purchase it from here.
