New Treat #23: Summer Camp

I saw Summer Camp support Slow Club a few weeks ago and was very impressed. There songs are really catchy but with a darkness and mystery about them which I always like. For a few months there identity remained a mystery but its all in the open now and the duo is made up of Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey but on stage were joined by a number of other musicians including Flash Louis. There music is sort of synth-pop and they actually remind me a lot of Beach House who I have been listening to loads recently. There is a number of songs on their myspace, and you can buy their single ‘Ghost Train’ on iTunes as well as the b-side. They are doing loads of festivals this summer including Secret Garden Party, Summer Sundae and Bestival, you can see full listings on their myspace page. I hope 2010 is going to be the year for this band, they are brilliant and the music they are making is ever so slightly different from everything else.

I’ve posted Ghost Train before, so this is Was It Worth It.

Back to revision now, Enjoy!
